Devon Pallas, of the Town of Saugerties, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 9, after Saugerties Police responded to South Road in Mount Marion for a report of a fight, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
An investigation by officers found that Pallas allegedly engaged in a physical dispute with a female victim. During the incident, he kept pushing the victim placing his hands against the victim’s face.
Pallas then grabbed a wooden stool and held it above the victim’s head as if he was going to strike her with it.
During the dispute, the victim was clutching her 3-year old daughter in her arms.
Pallas was taken into custody by officers and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault.
He was released on his own recognizance after an order of protection was issued for the victim.
